The race start will be divided into blocks, which correspond to the different levels of physical preparation of the athletes.
As a reference it will be used the time obtained in the last two years in a race with a minimum distance of 10K.
ELITE B
For runners with a chip time less or equal to 37:30 minutes

In order to start from ELITE B, SUB45, SUB50, SUB60 and +60 must be presented a running time record equal to or less than 37:30, 45, 50, 60 or 75 minutes, respectively, in a 10K race within the last two years.
The running time must be sent to suporte@hmssports.pt, with the bib number and name of the athlete until December 7, 2026.
The sub 1h15 block does not require proof of time. To access it, you can simply make a request to change your starting block to suporte@hmssports.pt.
All athletes who sign up after December 7, 2026 have a deadline of three days to submit proof of time to change the starting block. If the submission is not made within this deadline, the starting block will not be changed.
15.1. GOLD Registrations
All GOLD runners will start in ELITE B area.
15.2. Elite B area
This start area is limited to 150 runners and 50 of those entries are reserved for GOLD registrations.
The first 100 registrations with a time equal to or less than 37:30 minutes will have access to Elite B, by presenting a proof of time completed in a 10K race within the last two years.
