HMS Sports will once again promote the São Silvestre Championship, which involves LIDL São Silvestre de Lisboa (December 26th, 2026) and São Silvestre Amadora (31st December, 2026).
Whoever participates in both events will have access to an exclusive classification, based on the sum of the times achieved in each event.
The first three male and female athletes classified in the championship will be distinguished with a prize, as well as the top three classified male and female in each category.
On the 26th and 31st December, 2026, we are counting on you. Run to the rhythm of the capital and participate in the oldest São Silvestre in mainland Portugal.
São Silvestre Championship Rules
- The São Silvestre Championship is an initiative promoted by HMS Sports, organizer of LIDL São Silvestre de Lisboa, in partnership with the Municipality of Amadora, promoters of São Silvestre Amadora.
- The São Silvestre Championship involves two events: LIDL São Silvestre de Lisboa and São Silvestre Amadora, events that in 2026 will take place on the 26th and 31st of December, respectively.
- To participate in the São Silvestre Championship, the following is mandatory:
- a) registration for the two indicated events
- b) participation in the two indicated events
- c) classification in the two indicated events
- Registration at LIDL São Silvestre de Lisboa and São Silvestre Amadora must be done on the respective websites: saosilvestredelisboa.com and saosilvestredaamadora.pt
- To determine the entries in the São Silvestre Championship, HMS Sports will consider the identification document number used by the athlete in the registration forms for both events. It is important that the athlete use the same identification document number when registering for both events.
- On December 26th and December 31st, each athlete must participate in both events and obtain classification. Anyone who does not complete one of the races will not be classified in the São Silvestre Championship.
- After São Silvestre Amadora, the classification of the São Silvestre Championship will be available.
- The classification of the São Silvestre Championship is based on the sum of the chip timing reached by the athletes in each event.
- The classification of the São Silvestre Championship will be ordered from the lowest time obtained in the sum of the times achieved in the two events.
- All athletes classified in the São Silvestre Championship will have access to an electronic diploma with their classification in the championship and the times performed at LIDL São Silvestre de Lisboa and São Silvestre Amadora.
- The first three female and male absolute qualifiers of the São Silvestre Championship will be awarded with a GOLD entry for LIDL São Silvestre de Lisboa 2027 and an entry for São Silvestre Amadora 2027. The top three female and male classifieds in each category of the São Silvestre Championship will be awarded with an entry for LIDL São Silvestre de Lisboa 2027 and for São Silvestre Amadora 2027.
